Fleet Maintenance Project Image

The U.S. Navy has issued a fleet-wide release for the use of Stratica on Surface ships and Submarines.
Problem:
Current shipboard deck tile is not rugged and requires a continuous effort to keep clean and polished. This effort represents a huge daily drain on manpower and is a true sailor morale issue.

Solution:
Stratica™ is a commercially available decking material that is extremely tough and requires no waxing or buffing. Only daily damp mopping is required. MTTC, Navy and CES, Inc., developed and proofed the installation procedures that must be followed to ensure a quality product.

Fleet Impact:
This project has removed one of the most visible negative shipboard activities - waxing decks. The decking can be designed to give special effects and added decorating touches. Fleet feedback has been very positive.
Fleet Approval

Applications:
All Surface Ships and Submarines. Interior decks not requiring special surfaces or wtted conditions.
